My name is Bram Rohaan aand since the 3rd of May I am spending my time at Dainichi Koi Farm to experience a full breeding season.

Very nice info & blog...
I've just found that a top rank farm such as dainichi sometimes uses crooked/ bent oyagoi and it turns out that it can produce good quality of fries too...

Thanks for your nice reactions.

To answer your questions right away: It is certainly not unusual to use bent oyagoi. Why should you stop using Sakura only because she is bended? She has the most beautiful Showa skin I have ever seen. I think we will try to use her until she decides herself to quit

Hi Bram..
I agree that Sakura was one of the best showas ever existed in the world. It's very tragic if she has to end like this, isn't it?
The breeders maybe expects that she might still be able to give 'something' before she's really finished. Is there any information about the successful level of the egg's quality and quantity of this perhaps her 'last spawning'?
