Hi,

I just came back from a business trip. Our local made RDF is progressing and I think it will be finished by end of next week. Unfortunately one of our staff folded the microscreen and it looks quite ugly now (even it works). Anyway, the allover quality will be at least similar with the imported filters but we also have some additional features which I think are even better than the imported version. The prototype will be our future KC30 model with 30 cbm/h flow rate, suitable for ponds up to 45 tons capacity. In a later stage we will also build other versions with 6, 12, 18, 50 and 100 cbm/h. The smaller versions will also be available with a "built-in" Helix chamber so that they are an excellent alternative to "normal" filter boxes.

Pricewise, I estimate that the KC30 model will cost between 15-17jt. (still need to do final calculations. The smaller models (with simpler set up) might be starting at 7,5 jt.. I am confident that these filters will be "standard" in many new ponds in the future :D

Here is some general info and some pics:

-Casing in PVC
-Bearings are machined flanges or sockets (very strong)
-Sealings are from Teflon
-The drive will be a "toothed" belt (very safe operation)
-Microscreen in stainless steel with 60 micron
-electronic sensor for the water level, easy to set as the sensor is placed
outside of the filter
-easy-to-use control unit for setting the flushing time

The appearance is not yet as it will be for the final product. The final version will look much better

More news after I get back from my Germany trip

Hi everyone,

the second unit of the RDF is basically finished and we will introduce the filter to the public during the Koi show this Sunday at Hanggar Teras

We will get the parts for the new casing this Saturday. All new models will be having a collector chamber and can be used for pump fed systems or gravitation (can be adjusted by a switch and cranes). The existing filter was still cut "by hand" and therefore the centering of the bearings was not that good. The new casings will all be machined with a tolerance of 0,2mm and we will not have this problem anymore.

The screen is a 250 mesh screen (53 micron) and we have instlled a support screen inside and outside. The control unit has a button for manual operation (green button), the switch for gravity or pump operation (the switch changes the sensor signal to either falling (gravity) or rising (pump) water level. Furthermore there is an emergency-off-button for security

The motor was changed to a 12V motor. This provides additional safety as there is no high-voltage part near the water  . Therefore we have one additional casing (IP44) for the transformator).

An additional feature is the installation of hydraulic levers that help opening the filter and keep the cover in an open position (btw, made in Germany he...he).

Good stuffs Sven.

Sounds and looks expensive eh? :D

Eager to see your demo during incoming MP's show this Sunday.

Keep on innovating...

Hi Pak,

the price is 60% cheaper than the imported RDF

The launching price for the 30cbm/h model (MII-RDF 30CC) will be 15jt. :D That will be cheaper than standard filter boxes from the big name manufactures

Say it in rupiahs please ... 8)
15 mils is for the whole thing? sounds a bargain now, but I am not promoting yours :D

Hi Pak,

as I mentioned the price will be 15 million Rupiah. As for the promotion part I hope that customers that use the stuff will let others know the performance

Anyway, I have seen the result from the German RDF and I think it is really good. Even Germany is interested to import the RDF "Made in Indonesia". The sample unit will leave to Germany within this month 8)

Mr.Svenn Please Give me a call if you have the smaller RDF for Pond a around 10 to 20 tons :). Thank you.

Itu item indent Pak  If you have a customer we can produce the filter within max. 10 days. To make the filter smaller is not a problem, the 50cbm/h unit still needs some testing first

Hi Sven,

My pond (exclude filter chamber) about 5 M X 2.35M
depth 1.8-2M (max depth in the center)
the water level about 20 cm below .
"If" i want to use this RDF, can I use smaller one (off course with cheaper price. would you mind tell me how much it cost?)
Could you estimate renovation cost and day time to reconstruct the chambers to fit this RDF?
maybe you have promotion price and kindness to support hobbyst like us to keep koi in proper way that we can afford to

You said the screen about 53 micron, does it mean the small particles (just like brown powder) of waste bigger than 53 micron and that's why it can be maintenance free, no hassle to clean up the chamber every 3-6 months?

Hi,

I want to update a bit on our RDF. Since the start last year the response was great and we have meanwhile several units installed in Indonesia, Malaysia and Europe. We have constantly worked to improve the quality. Just recently we launched the MII RDF in Germany and we expect to sell around 50-100 units there next year :D

After the launching in Germany and we got very good input for further improvements. All new filters now have the following modifications:

-support screen inside and outside is now from PVC (no rusting issues and no problems with string algae)
-sensors from stainless steel with 12V low voltage
-better trafo with more power
-drive gear in stainless steel (not normal steel anymore)
-40 micron screen as a standard instead of 58 micron (clear water is achieved much faster)
-better jet pump with higher pressure (3-4 bar)
-control unit in IP66 casings (even spraying water directly onto the control unit is no problem)
-push buttonof the control unit also in IP66
-emergency overflow inside the collector chamber

Here are some photos of the RDF exhibited in Germany and the new control unit.

Sven, it looks like even better than the original whose price was around Rp100+ mils when you first tried to import the built up monster few years back  That thing hurt my eyes and my wallet too  Are these all now around Rp15 mils? Quite a bargain. Remote control excluded. :)

cheers

Hi,

as mentioned in the thread of the KOI's pond in Widjaya we have successfully installed our CNC machine and built a complete RDF in HDPE now. Even the raw material is around 45% higher than the PVC previously used we still can keep the same selling price because we can now manufacture everything "in house" and do not have to pay for any workshops anymore.

The accuracy of the CNC machine is really amazing and improves our manufacturing process and the quality of the RDF a lot.

We did a few more modifications on the new model and consider this new RDF completely matured now.

The new model has 2 sensors now. One for pump fed operation (RDF above the pond) and one for gravity fed operation (RDF leveled with the pond). The operation mode is simply set with a switch on the control unit. The overflow was also improved and can handle the full flow rate of 30 cbm/h.

The model for 60 cbm/h and the smaller version with 10 cbm/h will follow very soon. The smaller 10 cbm/h version will have a Helix chamber included and will work as a "plug-and-play" model.

Kerrenn...
Pak, bagaimana perhitungan volume kolam dan kapasitas RDF? Apakah ada beberapa model yang disesuaikan dengan kapasitas kolamnya?
Mungkin ada skema installasinya?
lbnl, harganya berapa ya :)
Thanks.
